A Case of Repeated Spontaneous Abortion Caused by LongY Chromosome of Husband

Abstract
|

|
There were several studies of families with two or more abortions which have shown a suggestive increase in the frequency of chromosome variants such as a long Y in father or a large satellite in acrocentric chromosomes(Kadotani et al., 1969: Kaosaar and Mikelsaar, 1973).
Patil & Lubs (1977) indicated that an increased length of Y chromosome may be an important cause of fetal loss.
A review of the world literature provided us which very few case of association of long Y chromosome and fetal loss.
The purpose of this paper is to report on repeated spontaneous abortion caused by long Y chromosome of husband which we have experienced in this hospital recently, with brief review of the literature.
